Garbhán Myles is an artist from the far north of Ireland working with several mediums (all of which he is constantly experimenting with merging). He has been enchanted by the landscape around him since he was a wee nipper and most of his photography is taken close to his home (and often quite literally on his own doorstep). He couldn’t give a donkey’s do dah to blether on about what his work means to him. He thinks all that just gets in the way of the viewers own personal experience which he thinks should be the most important thing art can offer. He thinks artists are nowt but pointer outers and that the magic we knew as wee nippers is always there under the clouds of congested doubt in the old noggins. And art can be a sort of nasal spray for getting rid of that congested crap to the let the magic in again.
